Location San Francisco, CA Sacramento, CA San Diego, CA Job Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer III - IV , you will create basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or designers, perform equipment selections, and conduct load/energy and pressure drop calculations for projects of varying sizes. You will progress from basic design work to more complex projects while collaborating with a technical team. Represent Syska Hennessy Group and interact with the internal design team, external clients and consultants (owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.) Coordinate with other disciplines and work closely with the entire design team (architectural and engineering/internal and external) Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work Assist the Senior Engineer in preparing due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT Master drawing organization format and company standards Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics Job Requirements Successful candidates should demonstrate strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings, and have basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements. Knowledge of trade-specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (e.g., eQuest, Trace) would be a good fit.
