Position Overview

Modern Ford of Boone is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for a proven automotive sales professional who can lead from the front, motivate a team, and help drive both sales volume and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive sales process, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of developing salespeople and achieving performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

• Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team
• Drive monthly sales volume and gross profit goals
• Assist with customer negotiations and deal structure
• Monitor sales performance, appointments, closing ratios, and gross
• Train and develop Sales Consultants
• Establish accountability and performance standards
• Assist with recruiting and developing sales talent
• Work with the team to improve customer satisfaction and retention

Dealership Operations

• Work closely with the General Manager and dealership leadership
• Review sales reports and performance metrics to identify opportunities
• Help develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes
• Assist with customer escalations and difficult situations
• Maintain a professional, positive, and accountable sales culture
• Support overall dealership operations and leadership initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive sales or dealership management experience
• Proven track record of success in automotive sales
• Strong understanding of dealership sales operations and profitability
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
• CDK or other dealership DMS experience preferred
• Ford experience is a plus but not required
