Salary: $135,000 - $195,000+ (dependent on experience) Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent A well-regarded defense litigation firm is seeking a skilled Defense Attorney to join its team in Roseland, New Jersey. The Role This position offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload of personal injury defense matters, working closely with clients and senior attorneys while gaining hands-on litigation experience. Key Responsibilities Handle personal injury defense cases from initial investigation through resolution Conduct claim investigations, including client and witness interaction with support from paralegals Review and analyze medical records to assess causation and damages Conduct and defend depositions, as well as participate in hearings and court appearances Manage discovery processes in accordance with New Jersey court rules Lead settlement negotiations and participate in mediations and other ADR proceedings Develop case strategies and drive matters toward efficient resolution Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admission to the New Jersey Bar required (New York admission a plus) 3+ years of experience in personal injury defense litigation Experience handling matters involving premises liability and related claims (labor law experience a plus) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively within a team #J-18808-Ljbffr Distinct | North America
