Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant – Downtown Miami

Location: Downtown Miami, FL

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually

Schedule: Monday–Friday, fully onsite

Position Overview

A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to support its Litigation Practice Group in Downtown Miami. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with experience in a mid- to large-sized law firm who enjoys supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, experience with both Florida state and federal courts, and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing exceptional administrative and litigation support.

Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and available to work onsite five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys.
\n
• Manage electronic and paper case files, including opening new matters and coordinating conflict checks.
\n
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings and appointments, and track court deadlines.
\n
• Draft, proofread, and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
\n
• Maintain familiarity with Florida state and federal court rules and filing procedures.
\n
• Assist with client billing, including entering billing narratives, tracking billable tasks, reviewing invoices, and distributing bills.
\n
• Track attorney and client expenses and process reimbursements and payments.
\n
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone calls.
\n
• Coordinate with attorneys and internal departments to ensure matters are handled accurately and efficiently.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications

\n
• Minimum of five years of legal assistant experience in a law firm, with a strong litigation background.
\n
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a mid- to large-sized law firm.
\n
• Experience with Florida state and federal courts, including court rules, filings, and deadline calendaring.
\n
• Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of work under tight deadlines.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
\n
• Familiarity with law firm case management and billing software.
\n
• Experience with iManage, SmartTime, and Aderant is preferred.
\n
• Must be willing to work onsite Monday through Friday in Downtown Miami.
\n
• Must not hold an active real estate license.
