Emergency Management Specialist

This position is located in Region2. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate experience in conducting operational coordination of Emergency Support Functions, supporting immediate response operations, delivering emergency management training, evaluating plans and procedures, collaborating with partners and stakeholders, and engaging with leadership teams related to threats, hazards, and incidents, impacting or anticipated to impact an assigned area of responsibility. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Built and maintained emergency management and support capabilities in Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and/or Territorial governments, and Participated regularly in efforts to exercise, validate, and execute emergency management capabilities, procedures, and functions; and Supported mobilization processes for life saving, life sustaining, and enabling resources in support of a response to an incident and/or event. #J-18808-Ljbffr Federal Emergency Management Agency
