School Behavior TechnicianLooking for a weekday role where you can work directly with students and build hands-on experience in behavior support? This school-based Behavior Technician opportunity in Grass Valley gives you the chance to support students throughout their school day while keeping your evenings and weekends free. Depending on your assignment, you may work 1:1 with a student or support multiple students in a classroom setting.What You'll DoSupport students with behavioral, academic, and social goalsImplement strategies outlined in IEPs, 504 plans, and behavior support plansUse positive reinforcement and other approved behavior-support techniquesProvide 1:1, small-group, or classroom-based assistanceHelp students transition between activities and classroom settingsMonitor behavior and collect data on student progressAssist BCBAs and school staff with observations and assessmentsSupport students during classroom and non-classroom activitiesMaintain accurate service logs and documentationAssist with personal care when required, including toileting, diapering, and hygieneHelp maintain a safe and organized learning environmentWhat You'll NeedHigh school diploma or equivalentBLS certification through the American Heart AssociationPrior ABA, behavioral health, childcare, or school-based experience is preferred but not requiredAbility to remain calm and follow behavior-support procedures during challenging situationsReliable transportation to assigned school sitesAbility to meet assignment-specific physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting students as needed
