Senior Site Manager

Travel : 80% - Across United States, Mon-Fri Salary : $110-$145K + hourly OT, unlimited per diem, company credit card, annual bonus of 10% Interview Process : One and done via MS Teams Location : Preferred in Milwaukee or Atlanta Position Overview Steele Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Site Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, and execution of material handling automation projects at customer sites across the United States. This is a field-based role focused on ensuring project quality, safety, and successful system commissioning while serving as the primary on‑site representative for Steele Solutions. This is not a people management role. Instead, you will act as the on‑site project leader, partnering closely with customers, contractors, and commissioning teams to ensure conveyor, controls, and automation systems are installed and operating as designed. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer locations nationwide to oversee project execution and commissioning activities Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for customers and project stakeholders Monitor installation progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and controls documentation Support startup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation systems Verify conveyor, chute, controls, and material handling systems are operating properly Ensure all work is performed in compliance with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and site safety requirements Coordinate with engineering, controls, commissioning, and customer teams to resolve issues quickly Maintain professional relationships with customer leadership teams during project deployments Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in industrial electrical installation, controls, automation, or material handling environments 3+ years of experience reading and working from electrical schematics Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or installation of automated systems Background in material handling, conveyor systems, controls, automation, or industrial electrical systems Active LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) certification or previous experience working under LOTO procedures Strong customer‑facing communication and relationship‑building skills Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% throughout the United States Preferred Experience Material handling automation projects supporting distribution centers or fulfillment operations Experience working on systems for large‑scale logistics, e‑commerce, or parcel environments Exposure to conveyor controls, sortation systems, warehouse automation, and commissioning activities Direct Placement Roles Compensation $110K-$145K per year annual salary.
