Finance Manager

About the Role The Finance Manager at Abbott’s Lingo Division in Alameda, CA will partner with Commercial & Marketing teams to support actuals reporting and forecasting. The role focuses on Plan, rLBE and Confirm processes, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, managing analytics, and driving process efficiencies. Responsibilities Strengthen processes to develop North America P&L & Balance Sheet forecasts for Plan, rLBE and Confirm. Ensure availability of timely and well‑presented sales results, high‑quality P&L and balance sheet, and projections vs. appropriate benchmarks. Identify meaningful analytics, including trend analyses from rLBE submissions, and present findings to North America Commercial senior leadership. Prepare the LBE deck and collaborate with stakeholders to produce executive‑ready presentations. Simplify submissions to make slides concise & executive‑ready. Support management in developing long‑range planning and portfolio management, tracking profitability and ROI. Apply financial expertise to evaluate key issues and gaps in business performance, deliver analyses that inform strategy. Develop metrics and reports for monthly reviews with management to address performance and cost drivers. Provide business decision support, including profitability analyses for new product concepts, launches, promotional programs, instrument placements, major customers, distribution channels, and product lines. Develop flexible tools to support commercial program proposals focused on ROI and fully burdened margin profitability. Maintain and improve system solutions and processes to meet financial planning & reporting requirements. Ensure adherence to Abbott accounting policies, Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements, and GAAP compliance. Build and lead a competent finance team to support current and future business needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field (MBA preferred). Minimum seven years of finance experience, including supervisory responsibility in FP&A, cost/general accounting, and financial reporting. Experience managing finance at the country level is a plus. Proficiency in planning, implementing, and administering financial information and control systems. Strong analytical, prioritization, presentation, and people‑management skills.
