About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on corporate law to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the voice AI industry, leading the corporate function and playing a pivotal role in the company's growth and market presence. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is not only defining the future of voice AI but also shaping the legal landscape of a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role demands a professional with a JD from a U.S. accredited law school, 7-15 years of legal experience, and a proven track record in corporate governance, IPO readiness, financings, M&A, and international structures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal issues relevant to high-growth, private, and venture-backed companies, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the business. As the lead corporate lawyer, you will be responsible for driving the legal roadmap for IPO readiness, preparing and executing financings, and leading M&A legal work. The role also involves partnering with finance and people teams on employee equity matters and designing legal and business processes for global expansion. The company values an AI-first mindset, and the role requires a practical, hands-on approach to legal issues, with a focus on building and scaling the legal function in line with the company's rapid growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, comfortable with ambiguity, and have a passion for the intersection of law and technology. Experience in the AI space and a background in taking a company public as an in-house lawyer are highly desirable.
