Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Job Goal(s) : To support the head coach in managing a competitive running program. Key responsibilities include designing training plans, leading daily practices, monitoring athlete progress, ensuring compliance with athletic regulations, and coordinating meet logistics. Create and implement training plans for student‑athletes. Lead daily practices and provide technical instruction on running form, pacing, and endurance. Monitor athlete progress and maintain training logs. Ensure compliance with NFHS and MPA rules and district athletic policies. Coordinate travel, meet logistics, and schedule both home and away competitions. Qualifications : Comprehensive knowledge of daily practices, warm‑ups, and cool‑downs; ability to instruct and supervise student athletes. Certifications : Valid CHRC. Performance Responsibilities : Thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the district’s Board of Education and responsibility for their implementation; familiarity with existing systems, state and league regulations. Education : The coach must be at least 20 years of age or a high school graduate. Experience : Previous competitive experience in cross country or track at the high school or collegiate level and prior coaching experience preferred. Working Schedule : Flexible after‑school hours required for scheduled matches both home and away. Travel Requirements : Travel to home and away meets and to state team and individual competitions when players qualify. Reports To : Director of Athletics / Head Coach. Terms of Employment : As determined annually by the District. Evaluation : Completed annually by Director of Athletics. FLSA Status : Non‑exempt. Position Type : Part‑Time.
