Operations Supervisor (Power plant)

Keep the Plant Running. Keep the Fuel Flowing. Lead fuel-side operations at a major power generation facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant performance across all assigned shifts. This role oversees rail tipping, shredding, metals processing, tipping floor operations, fuel quality, and related maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage frontline teams, address operational challenges, minimize downtime, and maintain production goals. Key Responsibilities Supervise fuel-side operations, including rail tipping, shredding, metals processing, and tipping floor activities. Monitor fuel quality, production targets, and operating schedules. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies. Serve as Fuel Control Line Authority (CLA) and prepare Work Clearance Permits. Coordinate maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment inspections using the CMMS. Conduct safety meetings, train operators, and maintain housekeeping standards. Coordinate with plant leadership and ensure effective shift transitions. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to complete required facility qualifications and technical training. Knowledge of safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Hot Work. Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and process flow diagrams. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of CMMS and maintenance work orders. Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts following training.
