Food Service Supervisor – Full Time Facility: Park Avenue Extended Care Position: Food Service Supervisor Location: Long Beach, New York Schedule: Full Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, including every other weekend Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee our dietary department and ensure residents receive high-quality meals and exceptional dining service. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with strong communication skills and a passion for food service and resident satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support dietary staff to ensure high-quality food service Prepare and maintain employee schedules and assignments Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance Oversee meal distribution, including proper portions and tray arrangement Ensure resident meal trays are delivered and picked up promptly Monitor food quality, temperatures, presentation, and portion control Assist with food preparation and meal service as needed Visit resident floors regularly to evaluate meal service and address resident concerns Promote and maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards throughout the kitchen and dining areas Ensure proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of food service equipment Report equipment issues and maintenance needs to Engineering/Maintenance Support compliance with facility policies, dietary standards, and applicable regulations Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a 90-hour course in food, nutrition, and personnel management in food service, or equivalent qualifications 1–2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred Previous supervisory or leadership experience in food service preferred Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Commitment to providing excellent service to residents Benefits Comprehensive Medical & Dental Coverage Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Program Supportive, team-oriented work environment Company perks and employee discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
