Civil Rights Investigator

Job Description The Civil Rights Investigator plays a critical role in the university’s efforts to promote living, learning, and working environments free from discrimination and harassment. Reporting to the Director of Civil Rights Compliance, the investigator is responsible for responding to reports of discrimination under university nondiscrimination policies and for conducting thorough and impartial investigations, producing detailed and unbiased investigation reports. The investigator works closely with multiple university offices and divisions, assists in coordinating and providing supportive measures for involved parties, and refers reports to partners as appropriate. The position may also provide technical assistance to university leadership, training, professional development, and outreach activities related to discrimination. The investigator provides onsite presence in the office at least three days per week (excluding time off and holidays) to respond to walk‑ins and provide onsite meeting availability.
