Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities Own monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP Analyze account balances and investigate variances, resolving discrepancies proactively Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with reliable, well-documented data Assist with audit preparation, pulling together schedules and supporting documentation as needed Help identify and implement improvements to close processes and reporting accuracy Partner with other departments to ensure financial data stays consistent and reliable Provide guidance and review support to less experienced accounting staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of general accounting experience Working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures Comfortable with ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills Detail-oriented with solid analytical instincts Able to manage competing deadlines in a hybrid setting CPA or progress toward CPA a plus What Our Client Offers A close-knit accounting team that actively mentors and cross-trains Real ownership over specific accounts and processes, not just task assignments Support for CPA exam costs and other professional development A stable, well-run finance function with room to grow into more senior accounting roles #J-18808-Ljbffr
