Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac and vascular conditions through continuous monitoring and assessment. Ensure adherence to clinical standards and collaborate with medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and detect abnormalities using telemetry equipment.
• Record and interpret vital signs and telemetry data accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and notify medical staff as needed.
• Document patient progress and maintain comprehensive medical records.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiac care and health management.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in telemetry nursing or cardiac care.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment and interpretation of telemetry data.
• Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and observation skills.
• Ability to work effectively during scheduled hours, including weekends as specified.
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
