Instructional Designer

Job Description: The Job/What You\'ll Do: AssetMark is hiring for an Instructional Designer on the Sales Training Team. We will look to you to be a key player in continuing our progress and growth as you partner with organizational leaders to address their learning needs. This is a full-time position in our Chicago, IL office with a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities: Collaborate with SMEs to collect, analyze, and learn operational processes, procedures, and policies and translate that information into course content as appropriate to learning objectives Design and develop learning materials in a variety of formats, including but not limited to instructor-led courses and workshops, on-demand resources, and more Recommend changes to existing courses, including instructional methods, to better adhere to delivery options for the course. Remain aware of all emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations for improvements Provide Sales Managers scalable resources to reinforce sales training and continued development through on-the-job learning Participate in creating and implementing new training programs and/or initiatives Gather feedback, ideas, and process improvements from the team and work closely with Sales Leaders and/or functional departments to implement Manage the end-to-end process of designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating effective training curriculum Design training for face-to-face, virtual, and on-demand/just-in-time delivery methods using creative, innovative, and evidence-based approaches Promote, build, and organize peer-to-peer sales training, best practices, and idea sharing through our LMS and Slack Develop and maintain scalable training resources to solve for coaching needs, learning challenges, and knowledge/skill assessments Learning Management Support: Partner with the Sales Training Manager to support online content management in Absorb (LMS), Seismic (CMS), and Yoodli, including uploading content, assigning, tracking, and managing courses. To include, but is not limited to, uploading content, managing audiences, and creating curricula within the LMS system Additional Learning Program Support: Collaborate with the Growth Enablement Team, which may involve streamlining major processes and integrating new ideas to enhance reach/quality of programs, maintenance of programs, and adjusting programs based on organizational initiatives Collaborate with the Sales Enablement Team and various business partners in operationalizing the programs by successfully planning, managing, problem-solving, and executing the programs Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content with content authoring tools Articulate 360, Canva, and Yoodli Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, familiar with other technologies that support training, such as LMS, eLearning authoring tools, and distance learning tools Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment at a high level of competence Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to deal with internal and external contacts Demonstrated ability to be organized and pay attention to detail Demonstrated knowledge and competency of learning and development principles, ADDIE, and Kirkpatrick's evaluation of both training programs and training results Proficient in Articulate 360 and authoring tools is preferred Education & Experience: BA or BS (4-year degree) or Certification in Education, Curriculum Design, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or related field is preferred 1-2 years of instructional design or training creation and facilitation experience Instructional Design experience across a variety of delivery channels (eLearning, blended, in-person, on-demand, etc.) Experience working with Learning Management Systems is preferred Experience in Sales Training is preferred 2 years of Financial Services experience is preferred Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $70,000-$80,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for a comprehensive sales incentive package and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
