Summer Operations Internship

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a seasonal, part-time, in-office position. Schedule will vary based on business needs, up to 20-30 hours per week. Classification Non-Exempt (Hourly) About the Position We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support daily business operations and executive priorities. This role offers hands‑on exposure to a fast‑paced healthcare environment, with opportunities to contribute to administrative workflows, cross‑functional initiatives, and executive support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn while making a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day administrative and operational support to the CEO during time onsite in the Baltimore, MD office. Coordinate and manage business and personal correspondence, including mail, packages, and confidential documents, ensuring timely and accurate handling. Execute a variety of operational and personal tasks with efficiency and discretion, supporting both business continuity and executive needs. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Team to support end‑to‑end prescription workflows, including requesting prescriptions from provider offices and ensuring accurate and timely transmission to pharmacies. Communicate with pharmacies and provider offices to confirm receipt, clarify information, and help resolve prescription related issues. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive company and employee information. Support cross‑functional initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and all forms of technology. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
