Produce Team Member

Location 1826 Vinton – Omaha, Nebraska 68108 Position Summary This role is to maintain and operate the produce department, ensuring all processes meet company and department standards and contribute to the store’s financial objectives. Responsibilities Cut, slice, and prepare produce following established procedures for culling, trimming and storing product. Weigh, package and label products. Handle spoiled or damaged products per guidelines. Fill, rotate, and merchandise produce and floral shelves, cases, and displays. Assist with unloading deliveries and stacking products in coolers. Notify the manager when products or supplies need ordering. Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers. Maintain familiarity with all products in the department, including differences in price, taste, preparation, and use. Keep the department clean, attractive, and well‑stocked. Follow all PPE and safety guidelines. Follow food safety and cleaning expectations. Follow guest experience guidelines. Assist in other departments as needed to support customer experience. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (preferred). Minimum one year of retail or related experience (preferred). Ability to work with fresh produce without allergic reactions that impair performance. Basic reading, writing, comprehension, and document interpretation skills. Basic mathematical skills. Attention to detail. Physical Requirements Lifting or moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and turning. Exposure to varying temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, and a typical retail store environment. Noise level usually low to moderate.
