At Bloomingdale's, our restaurants offer style in the form of creative culinary dishes and a wait staff that ensures your dining experience is like no other.*Essential Functions* * Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction * Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or food allergies) * Understand typical "Coursing" as well as the it's link to upselling * Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering system * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedure*Qualifications and Competencies* * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers * Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals * Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays*Physical Requirements* * Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department * May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping * Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions * Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs This job description is not all-inclusive and may not apply to colleagues covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
