Registered Nurse PACU

Registered Nurse (RN)A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. Acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, while collaborating with other healthcare team members. Assists in the orientation process of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups, including specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity.Available shifts:6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays, call requirements as per unit needs9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays, call requirements as per unit needsKey responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients according to established standards, including safety and educational needs.Participate in establishing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data, communicating this plan as appropriate.Implement and evaluate the plan of care based on identified patient goals and intended outcomes, modifying the plan as necessary.Complete all documentation according to established standards and utilize established documentation tools appropriately.Assess the patient's readiness to learn and implement individualized education plans according to identified needs.Actively participate in nursing department or unit-based initiatives, including providing in-service opportunities, or serving as a project point for committees and task forces.Provide age-appropriate care for specific populations served, as detailed by the organization.Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.Previous experience in the specific nursing area preferred.Current CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.Client details address: 18697 Bagley Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130
