Business Data Analyst - (Security Master Implementation) $80-90/hr (based on years of experience) 4 Days onsite - Boston Must-Haves: 3+ years of direct experience supporting investment management data platforms Strong understanding of Security Master data, including Equities, Fixed Income, Bonds, and Security Reference Data Experience with Issuer, Pricing, Benchmark, and Reference Data within Asset Management or Investment Operations Experience supporting data migration, platform conversions, or data transformation initiatives Hands-on data validation, reconciliation, and data quality management experience Experience creating and executing UAT, functional testing, and test cases Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating defects Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT statements, joins, data validation queries) Strong documentation skills (test evidence, requirements, workflows, operational procedures) Ability to work directly with business users and technical teams Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Plusses: Market EDM experience Experience with other financial data management platforms: Asset Control Bloomberg Data Management Rimes SimCorp Python exposure (ability to read and understand scripts) Data Governance experience Requirements gathering and validation experience Experience with benchmark/index data (MSCI, S&P, Bloomberg, FTSE) Experience with APX, CRD, Bloomberg, or other investment systems Accounting and valuation knowledge across multiple asset classes Experience supporting large-scale EDM implementations Day-to-Day: Validate and reconcile data between Market EDM and GoldenSource Compare security master, issuer, benchmark, and pricing datasets across systems Analyze data quality issues, gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies Execute UAT and functional testing for migration deliverables Create detailed test cases, scripts, and testing evidence Identify, document, and track defects through resolution Perform SQL-based validation and reconciliation checks Review and validate data mappings and business rules Support requirements validation and future-state platform design reviews Work closely with Data Operations, Investment Operations, Data Governance, and project teams Document operational workflows, controls, exception handling procedures, and data dictionaries Validate new GoldenSource functionality and downstream system impacts Prepare reconciliation reports and testing documentation Act as a subject matter expert during migration and transition activities Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Security Master Implementation Test Lead for a leading asset management client undergoing a critical enterprise data transformation. This individual will play a key role in the migration of Security Master, Issuer, Pricing, and Benchmark data from Market EDM to GoldenSource. The position is heavily focused on data quality, testing, reconciliation, validation, and business analysis rather than development or engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment management data, including security reference data, issuer data, benchmark data, and pricing data, combined with experience supporting data migration and platform transformation projects. This person will lead testing efforts, execute reconciliations, create and manage test cases, validate business requirements, and ensure the successful migration of critical financial data.
