Customer Service Representative (New York)

Join our NYC team as a Customer Service Representative with a leading importer of seasonal décor, home décor, artificial florals and greenery. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting both domestic and international customers through order entry, communication, and problem-solving. Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will work as part of a collaborative customer service group, supporting both domestic and international accounts through order management, communication, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibitlities:

• Serve as a point of contact for incoming customer calls and emails, working within a shared team environment to respond to inquiries promptly
• Process, enter, and monitor customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, Accounting) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
• Check product availability, pricing, and shipping status
• Communicate delivery updates and resolve customer inquiries or issues quickly and professionally
• Assist with allocation of backorders and tracking shipments (domestic and international)
• Maintain accurate account records and documentation in company systems
• Support seasonal peaks by assisting with customer requests, trade show orders, and account setup

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer service or order management role (wholesale, import, or distribution industry preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish a plus
• Experience with ERP or order-entry systems preferred
