Part Time Bookkeeper

Job Title: Part Time Bookkeeper Overview:The Part-Time Bookkeeper provides accurate and timely support for the schools day-to-day financial transactions. This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and record-keeping/reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. The Bookkeeper works under the oversight of the Director of Finance to ensure smooth and reliable financial processes. This is a part-time position of 1520 hours per week.Experience:Experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable/receivable required.Experience posting to the General LedgerProficiency with Blackbaud Tuition Management/Financial Edge NXT (or similar accounting software), Microsoft Office Suite, and/or Google Workspace.Personal Qualities:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Dependable and consistent in meeting responsibilities and deadlines.Clear, professional communication with colleagues, families, and vendors.Discreet and professional in handling confidential financial information.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounts PayableProcess invoices and payments in accordance with school policies.Maintain accurate vendor records and payment history.Accounts ReceivableRecord tuition, fees, and auxiliary program payments accurately.Maintain records to support reconciliation. Support billing processes and respond to basic payment inquiries in coordination with the Director of Finance.Transaction ProcessingRecord bank transactions, credit card transactions, and record donor gifts.Maintain accurate financial records to support reporting by the Director of Finance.Reporting Relationships:The Part Time Bookkeeper reports to the Director of Finance.
