Konya is a contemporary Japanese dining destination located at 235 Kent Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

At Konya, we focus on the art of refined simplicity. While our sister concept, Manhattan's Konban, is celebrated for its specialized focus, Konya takes a broader and more approachably elegant path. We are dedicated to presenting a curated selection of Korean-Japanese dishes that emphasize seasonal ingredients and balanced flavors. Our mission is to elevate everyday dining by blending traditional techniques with a relaxed, neighborhood-oriented atmosphere.

Inspired by the warmth of neighborhood corner restaurants, we envision a space that goes beyond special occasion dining—a familiar setting where guests naturally return. Konya is designed for lingering in the present moment, without the need for weeks of planning. We aspire to be a beloved space where everyone, especially families, feels truly welcomed.

Job Description:

• Greet guests warmly, take orders, and serve food and beverages with care.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable guest experience.
• Maintain deep knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
• Efficiently handle payments and maintain accuracy in all transactions.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff and team members; at Konya, teamwork is our core value.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the dining area.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, 'guest-first' attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and beverages is a plus.
