Title: CNA - Long-Term Care

Schedule: Must be able to complete a full day orientation on Tuesday or Thursday. Minimum shift requirement: 24 hours per month, which must include 2 weekend shifts.

Requirements:

• One (1) year of previous long-term care experience
• Must be licensed for at least 1 year
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, following the established plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, elimination needs, positioning, and skin care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents by addressing call lights and alarms, and implementing safety measures as required.
• Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met by assisting with meal delivery, tray preparation, and feeding, honoring residents' preferences.
• Implement rehabilitative measures outlined in care plans, such as range of motion exercises, ambulation, and proper body alignment.
• Report any resident rights issues, refusals, and changes in physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse in a timely manner.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
