What Your Role Involves

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, order necessary diagnostic tests, and craft personalized care strategies
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (as per credentialing)
• Guide patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engage in patient follow-ups and oversee chronic disease management
• Work cohesively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or corresponding specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
