Assistant General Counsel InHouse Attorney

Job Description A family office located in the Delray Beach area of Florida has a need for a full-time Assistant General Counsel (In-House Attorney) to handle legal matters in a wide range of areas, including venture capital investment, general corporate and contract matters. Applicants should have between three years and eight years of law firm and/or in-house experience performing corporate and transactional work, including assisting with drafting documents for, and performing legal due diligence with regard to, venture capital financings and/or private equity investments. Experience with conducting legal deal diligence is a requirement. Thorough knowledge and understanding of proper corporate structuring and documentation is also a must. Experience using legal AI products is a plus. The person hired for this position will be required to: Be an active member in good standing of the Florida Bar Be extremely detail-oriented Think strategically Spot, analyze and advise on the proper handling of legal issues Have and use excellent verbal and written communication skills Work under tight deadlines and multitask as necessary Have a strong academic record The Assistant General Counsel will report directly to the General Counsel but will work with both business personnel and accounting personnel on a regular basis.
