Overview: This role supports the organization, coordination, and supervision of activities related to physician practice secretaries and Medical Assistants across multiple office locations. Acting as a key resource in the absence of the Practice Coordinator, the Assistant Team Lead ensures smooth front and back office operations while fostering excellent patient service and efficient practice management.

Front Office Responsibilities:

• Manage typing, copying, and creation of forms and reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Handle phone calls, voicemails, and paging for physicians and staff, maintaining consistent coverage.
• Organize filing and correspondence for patient and non-patient related materials.
• Provide feedback to enhance front office efficiency and maintain proficiency with hospital EMR systems.

Clinical Patient Care Duties (Ma Or Lpn):

• Deliver direct patient care and triage calls, offering reassurance and clear instructions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and document medical records accurately.
• Assist physicians with procedures, testing, medication samples, and minor surgeries.
• Ensure patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage, distributing educational materials as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of secretaries, receptionists, and Medical Assistants at designated sites.
• Participate in public relations, committees, and educational initiatives as delegated.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and equipment maintenance in collaboration with the Practice Coordinator.
• Coordinate staff development programs and maintain departmental records and reports.
• Assist with performance reviews under the guidance of the department director.

Education And Experience:

• Associate degree or equivalent required; candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least two years completed coursework may be considered.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing (LPN) program required or must be completed within three years of hire.
• Minimum of five years' experience as a secretary, receptionist, or Medical Assistant.

Work Schedule: Full-time day shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
