Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
• 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Care for patients including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU) and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during the first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: Any color
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility location

The cardiac telemetry and stepdown unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment supporting complex cardiac patients through advanced monitoring and post-operative care.
