- Conduct evaluations on patients from diverse populations - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing both standardized assessments and naturalistic observations.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that effectively address both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
- Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy focusing on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Engage in collaborative practices with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families to enhance progress during and outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Keep comprehensive and timely records in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards.
- Commit to professional growth by staying abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates without ASHA certification.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of employment.
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities across all age groups, combined with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
