Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position with a flexible schedule. The position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night, 3x12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30)
• Scheduled Shifts: Weekday scheduled shifts - 10 or 12 hours
• Night Call Shifts: 8 hours from 23:00 - 07:00
• Weekend Shifts: Scheduled and call shifts of either 10 or 12 hours
• Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system is required
• Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory

Patient Care Experience

Candidates should have experience in a variety of surgical and clinical procedures, including but not limited to:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Hysterectomy (Abdominal/Vaginal)
• Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical)
• Spinal Fusion
• Electrosurgical units operation
• Trauma response and care

Unit Information

This position may involve care for patients across different age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Candidates should be prepared for a daily census of approximately 60 patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments, planning, and implementation of care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Rapid Response Teams, and unit secretaries
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the healthcare team

Additional Information

Candidates may be required to float to nearby affiliate hospitals as necessary. The ability to adapt to new situations and various department needs is essential.
