Compassionate Home Health, LTD. is a locally owned, clinician-led home health agency based in Roseville, CA. We are looking for a dependable, organized, detail-oriented HR & Payroll Assistant to support our growing team.

This is a hands-on, in-office position supporting Human Resources, payroll, employee administration, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and general administrative functions. The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, comfortable with technology, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Location: Roseville, CA
Job Type: Full-Time - In-Person
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Starting Pay: $24.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Assist with recruiting, job postings, applicant communication, interviews, background checks, and hiring paperwork.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate personnel and employment records.
• Prepare and manage employee forms, policies, and acknowledgments.
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and timekeeping.
• Assist with employee relations, coaching documentation, performance reviews, and corrective action.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development.
• Assist with benefits administration and enrollment.
• Track employee licenses, certifications, required documentation, and compliance items.
• Assist with workers' compensation and workplace safety documentation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, payroll, business, and patient information.

Payroll & Timekeeping

• Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing through ADP.
• Monitor and review employee timekeeping and approved timesheets.
• Verify payroll information and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll questions, corrections, and pay issues.
• Process applicable wage garnishments and retirement contributions.
• Audit payroll registers and assist with payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records.

Administrative & Accounting Support

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, reimbursements, and account reconciliation.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper records.
• Provide administrative support to management and the office.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Previous HR, payroll, administrative, accounting, or related office experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience with ADP, QuickBooks, Excel, Word, or Apple/Mac products is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to research questions, solve problems, and follow through on assignments.
• Professional communication style and ability to work effectively with employees and management.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
