Interior Design Planner

We're searching for an Interior Design Planner to support the planning, organization, and implementation of space planning, product procurement, and other interior design work, ensuring project alignment with departmental needs, system requirements, and applicable codes.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinates, organizes, and participates in design activities on medium- to large-scale projectsActs as the owner's representative for the interior design and furnishings scope of a projectWorks with the project management team and design consultants and architects on space planning and conceptual floor plansParticipates in the selection and presentation of furniture, furnishings, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingCollects and manages information required to submit furniture requisitions and tracks purchase ordersReviews interior-related invoices and processes them for paymentDevelops project scope, budget, and schedule based on customer needs and departmental standardsPrepares drawings and furniture plans in AutoCAD and other related design softwareCoordinates with internal resources and external vendors to procure furniture, IT, construction, and cabling services as defined by project scope and budgetOversees and manages projects in accordance with Interim Life Safety Measures, Infection Control, and other regulatory requirementsProvides on-site supervision during installation activities, when requiredProcesses final payments, closes project budgets, and distributes project documentation to appropriate departmentsReviews and keeps furniture and interiors standards current on an ongoing basisParticipates in the selection and research of project design materials, furnishings, and fabricsMaintains the interiors resource library and product samples in an organized mannerProactively identifies issues and takes appropriate action to achieve resolutionSkills & RequirementsBachelor's Degree requiredBachelor's Degree Interior Design or a related field of study preferred1-year Interior design experience, which may include furniture selection, specification and/or drawing production requiredHealthcare interior design experience preferred Since 1954, Texas Children’s has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
