TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Brownwood, Texas, 76801!

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: Prior charge experience, experience with patient ratios, and proficiency in specified skills Description: Start date is within the next 3-5 weeks. Modified hours of 36 hours/week may be considered. The unit typically has a patient census of 1-5. Patient ratios are 2 per nurse for days, nights, and weekends. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Daily responsibilities include labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and newborn assessments. Skills required include the administration of medication, monitoring of fetal heart rates, and assistance with deliveries. Experience with charting systems is preferred but not required. Candidates should be prepared for drug screening upon arrival. Work includes responsibilities related to maternal care in a Level II facility with a NICU. Orientation and training modules are non-billable and included in the work schedule. All clinicians must be prepared to complete any necessary lab requirements in a timely manner.
