East Peoria Community High School District #309 is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Full-Time Para-Educator
East Peoria Community High School is looking for candidates to join our team as a Para-Educator and make a direct impact on student success. We are looking for a dedicated, professional individual to support our students and teachers in the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower students: Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce lessons, lead activities, and help students master new skills.
- Support our teachers: Assist with lesson implementation, grading, and classroom management to keep things running smoothly.
- Ensure student safety: Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and arrival/departure.
- Professional excellence: Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality while participating in professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
Paraprofessional certification is required. The stipend associated with this position will be according to the support personnel negotiated contract. The starting wage will be $18.24 or with PEL $18.74. Benefits will include sick time, personal time, IMRF retirement, health, dental & vision insurance.
