About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Open Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery - Strong clinical experience preferred - Travel experience is preferred Description: The position requires expertise in various cardiac surgery cases, including CABG, valve repair/replacement (both open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant. The role also includes thoracic surgery, encompassing robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy (open and robotic), POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport insertion, EGD, and stenting of GI and respiratory systems. Vascular surgery experience involving diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation is also required. Clinicians will be involved in holiday call as needed, with mandatory call responsibilities including one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month. Call response time is 30 minutes. Floating to other services may be required. Mandatory call coverage will be required. Surgical scrubs will be provided in a designated color. Candidates should be prepared for a robust clinical environment and a variety of surgical cases.
