This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Shipping & Receiving Clerk Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 21.50 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 05:00am to 01:00pm)Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.Prepare, pack, label, and document outgoing shipments.Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently.Record shipment details, inventory updates, returns, damages, and discrepancies.Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in company systems.Coordinate with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely movement of materials.Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards.Shipping & Receiving Clerk Qualifications:1–3 years of general office, warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.Previous experience in a shipping and receiving department is a plus.Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with SAP or other inventory systems preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Good communication skills and ability to work well with team members, drivers, and vendors.Applicant may be subject to a background check*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
