Position Title: Director of Social Work

Schedules Available: Full time, Mon-Fri, 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

· Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents/families or employees of the facilities.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

· Ability to provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling to residents/families as needed.

· Partake in resident care conferences and complete MDS in accordance with facility guidelines. Knowledge of long term care rules and regulations required.

· Ability to deal with a diverse client population ranging from the geriatric population to younger rehab residents with varying physical/social issues.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree OR Certified as Social Worker with pertinent experience in the long term care setting.

· At least one year experience as a Social Worker dealing with the adult/geriatric population in a long term care setting.

· Management experience is strongly preferred as the position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
