Travel Respiratory Therapist Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Kalispell, Montana Assignment: 13‑week travel assignment Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. The role involves independent assessment, treatment, and management of patients in intensive care units and emergency situations, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver life‑saving therapies. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., measuring lung capacity, collecting blood/sputum samples) Treat patients through chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, etc. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure proper oxygen delivery Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on medication use and equipment Perform other duties within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal, Technical, Mental, and Sensory Requirements Work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures or equipment use Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers under pressure; work under supervision occasionally; adapt to irregular schedules; maintain concentration and detail focus Possess visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter supportReimbursement for licensure and CEUs Legal Compliance Fusion is an EOE/E-Verify Employer. #pb9 Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
