We are seeking an Outpatient Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to our outpatient team. In this role, you will supervise therapists and interns, provide guidance on complex clinical cases, promote professional development, and help ensure services are delivered in accordance with ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards. The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor will also maintain an outpatient therapy caseload and provide evidence-based psychotherapy through regularly scheduled sessions. Services are delivered using a client-centered approach grounded in CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and other clinically appropriate modalities. Additional responsibilities include reviewing documentation, supporting quality and compliance initiatives, assisting with onboarding and training, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and supportive team environment. This position works closely with Clinical Leadership and other departments to strengthen clinical practices, improve client outcomes, and support the continued growth of outpatient services. Job Summary: The Outpatient Clinical Supervisor serves as the primary clinical and day-to-day leader for an assigned Blue Kite Wellness outpatient location. This role combines direct clinical practice with clinical supervision, staff leadership, quality oversight, site development, and operational coordination. The Clinical Supervisor maintains an outpatient therapy caseload while supporting clinicians, promoting high-quality care, staff accountability, compliance, and a positive site culture. The role also partners closely with Clinical Leadership, Operations, Human Resources, Intake and Scheduling, Billing, and other departments to support provider capacity, clinician utilization, referral growth, and effective site operations. The balance between clinical and leadership responsibilities will evolve as the site grows. Essential Functions: Maintain an active outpatient therapy caseload in accordance with organizational expectations. Provide clinical supervision to assigned therapists and interns, as permitted by licensure. Support complex cases, clinical concerns, crisis situations, and other higher-risk client needs. Monitor clinical documentation, treatment plans, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Conduct periodic chart reviews and provide coaching or corrective guidance as needed. Serve as the primary on-site clinical and day-to-day leader for the assigned location. Promote staff accountability related to attendance, professionalism, scheduling, productivity, and adherence to policies. Promotes staff engagement, professional growth, teamwork, retention, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement. Coordinate daily site workflow and address clinical, operational, staffing, safety, or facility concerns. Support onboarding, orientation, integration, and ongoing development of new clinicians. Monitor provider utilization, caseload growth, and progress toward site capacity goals. Monitors staff productivity, engagement, performance, and retention; identifies concerns or barriers and works with Human Resources on coaching, performance improvement, or other appropriate follow-up. Support local marketing, community outreach, referral development, and other site-growth initiatives. Participate in therapist recruitment, interviewing, performance evaluations, and performance improvement efforts. Partner with Clinical Leadership, Operations, Human Resources, Intake and Scheduling, Billing, Engagement, and other departments to support effective site operations. Identify and elevate significant clinical, compliance, staffing, or operational concerns to appropriate leadership. Participate in meetings, trainings, quality improvement initiatives, and other organizational activities as assigned. Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure staff maintain required credentials, trainings, competencies, and qualifications for assigned roles and services. Maintains working knowledge of private insurance and Medicaid documentation standards, applicable clinical and ethical standards, organizational policies, and role-specific service requirements. Maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy, recordkeeping, and organizational requirements in all supervisory, clinical, and administrative activities. Escalates significant clinical, safety, compliance, staffing, or operational concerns to the appropriate leadership member and participates in resolution and follow-up. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required. Licensure:Active Illinois licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required. Must remain in good standing and meet all applicable requirements to provide clinical supervision within the scope of licensure. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing outpatient behavioral health services. Prior experience in clinical supervision, team leadership, site leadership, staff development, or behavioral health program operations strongly preferred. Experience with clinical documentation review, treatment planning, crisis support, performance coaching, and quality assurance preferred. Skills: Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage a clinical caseload while providing supervision and day-to-day site leadership. Ability to support complex clinical situations, monitor documentation and quality standards, provide corrective coaching, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across clinical and administrative departments. Strong ability to promote staff accountability, support team development, identify operational concerns, and contribute to site growth and referral development. Travel: Occasional local travel may be required for company meetings, events, trainings, recruitment activities, or community outreach. Schedule Requirements This position's schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm onsite. Compensation & Work Structure This is a salaried, exempt position with an annual salary range of $75,000–$85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
