In this full-time W2 Travel Medical Assistant role, you'll complete scheduled in-home wellness visits across U.S. markets, combining hands-on patient care, independence, and nationwide travel instead of spending every day in one clinic.The OpportunityThis is a field-based Medical Assistant role focused on preventive care, care-gap support, patient relationships, and accurate documentation — not urgent care. You'll visit patients in their homes for wellness-focused appointments such as Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits.The current opening is connected to Prince George's County, Maryland, but this is a nationwide travel role. The right fit is comfortable working independently in different markets, adapting to changing coverage needs, and delivering a calm, respectful patient experience in the home.What You Will OwnComplete scheduled home-based wellness visits with patients in the fieldSupport Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child VisitsGather and document patient information accurately in an EMR/EHR systemPerform basic point-of-care support such as vitals, UAs, A1Cs, screenings, and questionnairesHelp patients feel comfortable, respected, and unrushed during visitsManage a mobile field workflow while traveling between patient homesStay organized with visit schedules, documentation, supplies, and travel expectationsWhat Makes You a Strong FitAt least 1 year of Medical Assistant experienceMedical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualificationHands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience with direct patient care responsibilitiesComfort working independently in patient homesComfort with local, same-day travel and extended travel assignmentsAbility to travel nationwide anywhere within the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needsAbility to travel frequently, potentially on a week-to-week basisReliable vehicle and valid driver's license for local or same-day visitsNice-to-HavesExperience conducting Annual Wellness VisitsExperience conducting Well-Child VisitsPrior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experienceExperience documenting patient visits in an EMR/EHR systemTravel ExpectationsThis is a nationwide Travel Medical Assistant role. Candidates must be able to travel anywhere within the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs, potentially on a week-to-week basis.Schedules are typically provided about 2 weeks in advance, including where you'll be going, when visits are scheduled, and how long visits are expected to last.For local or same-day visits, you may use your own reliable vehicle, with eligible mileage reimbursed at $0.725 per mile.For out-of-state or extended travel assignments, covered travel expenses may include transportation, car rental when needed, flights when needed, hotel, and meals.Schedule & Work ModelFull-time W2 roleMonday–Friday8:00 AM – 5:00 PMField-based home visit roleCurrent opening connected to Prince George's County, Maryland, with nationwide travel based on coverage needsCompensationThe expected total compensation range is USD 31 Hourly.What Success Looks LikeYou'll be successful in this role if you can combine strong Medical Assistant fundamentals with the independence needed for mobile care.
