Roofing Inspector / Assistant Project Manager

RoofMasters – Smithfield, Rhode Island

RoofMasters is seeking an experienced, dependable roofing professional to perform roof inspections, complete repairs, assist with project management, and communicate directly with customers.

This is not a full-time roofing installation position . We are looking for a competent, independent person who understands roofing systems, can safely inspect steep-slope and low-slope roofs, identify problems, perform professional repairs, and help keep projects moving.

Responsibilities

• Safely walk and inspect steep-slope and low-slope roofs
• Identify leaks, installation problems, storm damage, and maintenance needs
• Perform roofing and flashing repairs as needed
• Take clear photographs and document inspection findings
• Explain roofing issues and recommended solutions to customers
• Assist the Project Manager with jobsite visits and quality-control inspections
• Confirm that work is completed according to the contract and company standards
• Create repair lists and communicate with crews, customers, and office staff
• Help resolve jobsite issues independently and professionally
• Keep the company truck, tools, and work areas organized

Qualifications

• Roofing inspection, repair, or installation experience required
• Strong knowledge of asphalt shingles and low-slope roofing systems
• Comfortable working at heights and walking steep roofs
• Able to diagnose roofing problems and complete repairs independently
• Professional appearance and strong customer communication skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage daily responsibilities without constant supervision
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to use a smartphone for photographs, documentation, and communication
• Project management or crew leadership experience is a plus
