Airfield Runway Specialist

Compensation and Benefits Starting wage: $21.93 per hour. $21.93/hour to start while working on airfield. Health insurance options. 401K with match. Paid time off. Christmas bonus. Airfare and hotel costs paid; per diem for food. Job Expectations Ability to travel 4–6 weeks at a time. Good attendance. Willingness to learn. Hours of Work: Day, night, and weekend hours will be required. Work Authorization/Security Clearance 10-year criminal background search. Meet badging requirements at all airports and military bases. Pre-employment drug screen. Valid driver’s license with clean driving history. Social Security Card. You do NOT need to reside in the area where this ad is posted. Job Responsibilities Drive and operate equipment including forklift, grinder, bobcat, hand striping equipment, blowers, and pickup trucks. Perform a variety of manual labor tasks in heavy/airport construction projects; prepare surfaces for striping and maintenance. Move stencils, and duct-taping to prepare for painting. Maintain and protect traffic. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage; lift minimum 50 lbs. Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to supervisor, HR manager, or safety manager. Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time; may be required to travel independently and read and understand road maps. Must be knowledgeable and comply with Federal Motor Carrier regulations. Work around high-pressure water systems and basic pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
