Conrad Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated and professional Commercial Insurance Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position focuses on helping business owners identify their insurance needs and find coverage designed to protect their businesses, employees, property, and future.

The ideal candidate is confident speaking with business owners, comfortable developing new relationships, and committed to providing excellent service. This is a sales-focused position that requires consistent prospecting, follow-up, and relationship building.

Candidates must have an active Property and Casualty insurance license or be willing to obtain one before their start date. Previous commercial insurance or business-to-business sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new commercial insurance clients through phone calls, emails, referrals, networking, community involvement, and in-person outreach.
• Develop relationships with local business owners and decision-makers.
• Identify each business’s operations, exposures, coverage needs, and insurance concerns.
• Gather accurate information and documentation needed to prepare commercial insurance quotes.
• Present coverage options clearly and help clients make informed insurance decisions.
• Sell commercial insurance products, including business owners policies, general liability, commercial property, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, professional liability, bonds, and commercial umbrella coverage.
• Follow up consistently with prospects, open quotes, leads, and upcoming renewal opportunities.
• Maintain accurate prospect, quote, and follow-up information in the agency’s customer relationship management system.
• Meet established activity, quoting, and monthly production goals.
• Ask for referrals and identify opportunities to provide additional personal or commercial insurance products.
• Assist commercial clients with policy reviews, renewals, coverage updates, and general service needs.
• Work with insurance carriers, underwriters, brokers, and agency staff to place appropriate coverage.
• Explain policy coverages, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and available options in clear language.
• Maintain all required insurance licenses and complete continuing education requirements.
• Follow agency procedures and all applicable carrier, state, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active Property and Casualty insurance license preferred.
• Commercial insurance or business-to-business sales experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-service skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and approaching prospective business clients.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple quotes and follow-up activities.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing to a team.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn agency management, quoting, phone, and document systems.
• Professional appearance and conduct when meeting with clients and community partners.
