Database AdministratorMaintains the integrity, security and availability of multiple database(s). Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database. Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products. Performs database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements. Performs Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE Database and Application server administration. Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.This role will support and represent LufCo with our industry partners within the Ft. Meade market. We offer a people-first, agile environment where your ideas are valued, your impact is visible, and your work directly supports meaningful, mission-driven outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of database(s)Establish and maintain database user accountsAdminister, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processesEvaluate requirements and recommends available DBMS productsProvide server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASEPerform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of dataDevelop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.4 years of DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Experience:DBA0: 0+ years of experience as a Database AdministratorDBA1: 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.DBA2: 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Technical Skills:Demonstrated experience in databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDBSQL DeveloperExperience with performing database backups and recoveryExperience with configuring and implementing security policyExperience with configuring and implementing table and tablespace encryptionExperience performing database auditingSQL and PL/SQL scriptsExperience with utilizing secure software containers for storae of authentication and signing credentialsInstalling and configuring databases to include configuring mutually authenticated link encryption (e.g., Transport Layer Security)Why Join Us?The LufCo Difference: Join a company that prioritizes employee experience.
