Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with vascular experience and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center.

Details

• Ultrasound department in a 241-licensed-bed Level 3 Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center
• Facility averages 250-300 patients per day across departments
• Patient population includes cancer, stroke, COVID, flu, RSV, and heart attack cases
• Uses Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound equipment
• EPIC EMR used
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0700, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (36 hours/week)
• ED and inpatient assignments mainly work independently
• Will float between the main hospital and an outpatient imaging center as needed
• Weekend rotation required with no set schedule
• Generally does not require on-call coverage
• 13-week schedule cycle

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS certification (no specific anatomy cert required) or ARRT required
• Vascular ultrasound experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must be a fast learner and effective multitasker
• Last 4 of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• May work with radiology students present
• Orientation includes 1 day of general modules and 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO subject to manager approval
• Black scrub color required

• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
