Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Assignment Duration: 9 Weeks (Potential for Extension)

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Traveler Pay: $2,000–$2,300 per week (Based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy breast imaging department. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Position patients accurately and apply appropriate breast compression techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Select appropriate technical factors to produce optimal imaging results.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat examinations when necessary.
• Ensure all radiographic images are accurately labeled according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Transmit completed images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in a timely manner.
• Complete and verify all imaging studies within the IDX system.
• Accurately document patient information and maintain required patient tracking records.
• Maintain compliance with MQSA, ARRT, state regulations, and departmental quality standards.
• Provide compassionate patient care while educating patients about mammography procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
• Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

• Previous experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced breast imaging department is preferred.

• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography .
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Must meet and maintain Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
