Stepdown Nurse (RN) - Stone Mountain, GA

Key Requirements:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in a stepdown or intermediate care unit preferred
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency managing complex patient conditions, including ventilator and cardiac monitoring
• Compassionate, patient-focused communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals transitioning from intensive care, including cardiac, respiratory, and post-operative support
• Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Track patient status and promptly notify providers of any changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively across care teams
• Uphold patient safety and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations
