Drill/Shovel Mechanic - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

About The Job The Coeur Rochester mine located in Nevada, about 25 miles from Lovelock, is seeking a Drill & Shovel Mechanic to join the team. This role offers a rotational schedule, comprehensive pay and benefits, and work‑life balance. Hourly Rate Range

$43.57 – $49.25 (DOE)

Sign‑On Bonus $5,000 Responsibilities Maintain blast‑hole drills, hydraulic shovels, and support equipment, with preference for Komatsu, Hitachi face shovels, Epiroc and Cat drills. Perform diagnostics on hydraulic, air, lube, and electrical 12/24V systems. Repair or replace components such as GET, hydraulic pumps, motors, air ends, gearboxes, undercarriage, compressors, auto lube, valves, and hoses. Build hydraulic hoses. Prioritize and decide on equipment repairs. Conduct mechanical and lubrication preventive maintenance, including inspections for mechanical and electrical risks. Accurately troubleshoot and order parts, completing work orders as assigned. Train and mentor other technicians. Operate forklifts, auto cranes, boom trucks, and other small mobile equipment as required. Use work‑management systems, and plan and schedule major PCR activities. Physical Requirements Follow all safety procedures. Work in all conditions; ~80% outdoors. Lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally. Walk on uneven ground and slopes daily. Ascend and descend ladders daily. Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certificate in heavy equipment mechanics preferred. Five or more years of mine equipment maintenance experience. Knowledge of maintenance and operational procedures, compliant with Coeur safety and environmental policies. Collaborative team player with strong problem‑solving ability. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Adaptability to changing work conditions and unexpected events. Attention to accuracy and quality assurance. Plan and prioritize work efficiently. Identify and resolve problems promptly. Maintain cooperative working relationships and work independently when needed. Additional Information Hourly rate range: $43.57 – $49.25 (DOE). Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (annual up to $16,400).
