Responsibilities Adheres to department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards. Administers, oversees, and documents medication administration (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy. Assesses patients including physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs; gathers data and implements appropriate interventions and evaluates outcomes. Plans care based on needs identified during initial and ongoing assessments; prepares patients for discharge and coordinates post-discharge needs. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and competence, using communication tools effectively and understanding how culture(s) affect care, collaboration, and services; serves known patient populations. Engages in opportunities for professional growth; active accountability to meet mandatory requirement deadlines. Documents care delivered and patient status using nursing process per FHS standards of care; ensures accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders. Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Registered Nurse: WA (state licensure) upon hire. Basic Life Support – CPR upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors of Science Nursing and at least one year of related work experience in an acute care setting. Location Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Puget Sound region.
